jtsec at 12th CCUF Workshop in Berlin

jtsec attended the CCUF Workshop in Berlin from the 24th to the 27th of October 2017

.

The Common Criteria User Forum mission is to provide a voice and communications channel amongst the CC community stakeholders including the vendors, consultants, testing laboratories, Common Criteria organizational committees, national schemes, policy makers, and other interested parties.

Due to the lack of ICCC (International Common Criteria Conference), this event is growing up every year. This time has been the first one with more than 100 delegates.

As usual, there was time for iTC meetings, community updates and also for trending news discussion.

I would like to highlight the number of talks regarding the proposal of regulation for the EU Cybersecurity Certification Framework and activities around it in Europe (ECSO, ISCI WG1 or EIDAS). My favourite one was “The Cybersecurity Act – A challenge or an opportunity?” by Stefano Bracco. He was capable of providing information and opinion about a very tricky topic.

In my opinion, comparing to other events, the European presence has been more notorious.

For jtsec, it was a very special event because it was the first international talk we have given since the company was created.

Our speech “jtsec CCGen tool” was warmly welcomed. The room was almost full and a lot of questions were asked during the talk and after it. We are sure that CCGen will be an important tool in the future of the community.

jtsec will continue participating in the CC Community events. It seems that next one will be in Norway… Polar jumping is coming?
